Sauk Prairie Middle School Mathletes compete, Aaron Clement finishes first overall

On November 15th, 26 “Mathletes” from Sauk Prairie Middle School traveled to Wisconsin Dells to participate in the Math Matters Mathematics Contest.  Working both individually, and as teams, students from 15 area schools solved math questions ranging from geometry, measurement, and logical thinking, to probability, problem solving, and estimation.  Sauk Prairie sent two teams each from grades six, seven, and eight. The Sauk Prairie Teams were coached by Scott Bakken, eighth grade math teacher, and Kelly Olson, sixth grade math teacher.  The students made a fine showing, with special congratulations going to  Aaron Clement for placing first overall!
