Wisconsin Heights and Sauk Prairie offering up a plant sale

Do you need plants for your landscape, a simple Mother’s Day gift, or want to grow vegetables and herbs?  Then you will enjoy this year’s plant sale at Wisconsin Heights and Sauk Prairie High School. The agriculture departments will provide you with some of the highest quality plants for the lowest prices in the area. The Greenhouse Management classes are getting a taste of what it is like running a business. Over the last few months, students involved in the agricultural education classes have been tending plants in their greenhouses. The operations have been made possible through the continuous support and efforts of the Wisconsin Heights and Sauk Prairie School Districts along with local supporters. In addition to plants, there are hanging baskets and special arrangements at both schools, and stepping stones available at Wisconsin Heights. Each school has a catalog with plant availability, hours of operation and pricing at:   Wisconsin Heights: www.wisheights.k12.wi.us (Scroll down to “What’s New”) Sauk Prairie: www.saukprairieffa.com/plantsale   Prices are $3-$5 for annuals, $2 for herbs and vegetables, $4-$7 for perennials, $10-$18 for shrubs, $15 for stepping stones (where available) and $30 for hanging baskets. There will be some empty pots available for purchase if you would like to plant your own plants.   Greenhouse shopping options:   1. Online Ordering: Fill out the online form (which will be available starting at 8:00 a.m. Saturday, April 30th through Monday May 2nd at 4:00 p.m). After the form has been submitted, you will be contacted by a staff member confirming your order and pick up time.     2. In-Person Sale: We will be conducting an in-person sale on May 7th (8:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.) and May 8th (12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.) at both locations.  Wisconsin Heights will also have an in-person sale May 14th (8:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.).  Plant availability is determined by pre-order sales.
