SPHS Forensics places 4th at State Tournament

On April 3, the SPHS Forensics team placed fourth overall at the Wisconsin Forensic Coaches’ Association (WFCA) State Tournament.  Sophie Meronek placed 5th in the state in Demonstration, Molly Fabian placed 4th in the state in Solo Acting serious, Alli Krueger placed 6th in the state in Solo Acting Serious.  Evelyn Fritsch was a semi-finalist in Prose and Austin Kaukl was a semifinalist in Extemporaneous Speaking. On April 9, the team earned 10 Gold Medals (perfect scores of 25) and 1 Silver medal (score of 24 or 23) at the Wisconsin High School Forensic Association (WHSFA) State Meet, the most gold medals they have earned in a single season. Max Shavlik earned his third Gold Medal of his high school career, earning him a special excellence in speech medal.The team is waiting to hear results for three competitors who competed virtually.
