Obituary: Robert E. Banbury

Robert E. Banbury Sr., age 75, of Reedsburg, died on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at the VA Hospital in Madison. He was born on April 28, 1946 in Madison, the son of Raymond and Olive (Gardner) Banbury. Bob was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving with the U.S. Army. He worked for Shell Oil Company for over twenty years. Bob enjoyed collecting antiques.

He was a member of the Reedsburg American Legion and the Reedsburg V.F.W.

Survivors include his three children: Robert (Krystal) Banbury Jr., and their daughter: Leilani; Douglas Banbury and Margaret Banbury; the mother of his children: Melissa Banbury; four brothers: Richard (Sharon), John, Bill (Kathy) and Charles; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A graveside service was conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at the Oak Lawn Cemetery in LaValle with military honors provided by the Reedsburg Area Veterans Honor Guard. There was a visitation from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at the Hoof Funeral Home in Reedsburg.
