Obituary: Terry J. Gray

Terry J. Gray, age 66, of Ironton, WI, passed away on Wednesday, October 13, 2021. He was born on September 2, 1955 in Reedsburg, WI, the son of Elmer L. and Elizabeth A. (Diece) Gray. On July 16, 1977, he was united in marriage to Georgette I. Nalley in Waynesville, MO. He retired as a supervisor assistant at Gerber Manufacturing.

Family was a priority to Terry, especially his grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Terry was a friend to everyone, a good listener, kind hearted, and someone you could trust. He always gave honest advice and liked to share his experiences and stories. Terry was a talented handyman who enjoyed tinkering and fixing things; he repaired small engines, and could fix and refurbish just about anything and bringing it back to life. He enjoyed his afternoon conversations while having a drink with friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife Georgette on August 17, 2011; his parents, Sonny Gray and Betty Dunse, step-father Lyle Dunse, and his brother, Jim Gray.

Terry is survived by his children: Bobbie Swope (Eddie) of Reedsburg, William (Jackie) Swope of LaValle, Michael Swope of Orlando, FL, and Machell (Schannon) Luedtke of Oshkosh; grandchildren: BreAnna, Justin, Natasha, Christopher, Sasha and Daniel; great-grandchildren: Scarlett and Charlie; sisters Sue (Ted) Driefke of LaValle, Peggy Gray (Bryan Lemnens) of Stoughton, and Patti (Mike) Ferguson of LaValle; nieces and nephews: Angie, Tad, Jason, Mallori and Chyanne; great-nieces: Isabella, Emma and Eva; along with other relatives and friends.

A time of visitation for Terry will be held on Friday, October 22, 2021 from 3:00-7:00 P.M. at the Farber Funeral Home in Reedsburg. Burial with military honors will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Reedsburg, at a later date.
