Painted Forest holds special Hill & Valley event

The Painted Forest in Valton has several activities planned during the Hill & Valley Exploration Tour this weekend. Admission will be free.

Ancestra will entertain at 1 and 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 25. This Madison-based a cappella trio is influenced by rock, blues, gospel and country styles.

The museum will also have the Wild Prairie Gourds Exhibit from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 25-26. The exhibit will feature art pieces made from gourds by Connie Anderson of Reedsburg. This will include carvings, drawings, metal inlays and painting. It’s Anderson’s first public exhibition of her work.

The Painted Forest will also be open both days for touring, as it is a stop on this year’s Hill and Valley Exploration Tour.

Guests are asked to wear masks as events all take place indoors.

This special entertainment is sponsored by Reedsburg ArtsLink.

The address is E846 Painted Forest Drive, Wonewoc.
