Margaret “Maggie” Witwen

Margaret “Maggie” Witwen, age 68, passed away on August 10, 2021 at Ingleside Manor Mount Horeb. Survived by her 3 children: April (Reggie), Zachary (Crystal), Samantha (Brandon); Grandchildren: Justin (Krysta), Tyler (Niki), Tyler, Austin;  Many friends, family, and of course Harley pup. Maggie fought a courageous battle against cancer, but this did not define her, or slow her down as she was a fighter.  Never afraid to speak her mind, standing up for what she believed in, and for the underdog.  But also the kind of person that would give you hugs, kisses, and the coat off her back. She was always on the go, loving the outdoors, gardening, hiking, animals, traveling, cooking, concerts, Church, shopping, and spending time with loved ones.  She spoke often of the glory days, and her old souped-up Mustang 2 as well as her political views. Her love for Alan Jackson, and of course Da Pack stayed true. Go pack go! Maggie was the first women firefighter of Sauk City and loved going on calls.  She was dedicated working for the government for many years. You’ll be greatly missed and the world could use more people like you, Ma.  We love you, miss you, and you will always be in our memories, and our hearts! Maggie’s family would like to thank the staff at Ingleside Manor and Agrace Hospice for their wonderful care and support.  A celebration of life will be held on September 12, 2021 at Brigham Park, Blue Mounds, WI, from 12 p.m. – 3 p.m.  Flowers or memorials may be sent to 725 7th Street, Prairie du Sac, WI  53578.
