Obituaries

Larry J. White Larry J. White, age 53, of Cobb, formerly of Arena, passed July 19, 2021, surrounded by family while battling cancer. Larry was born September 10, 1967, to Raymond “Ray” and Darlene (Richardson) White.  After attending River Valley High School, Larry worked at various jobs until finding his calling as a warehouse supervisor and for the past 19+ years he was able to do just that at Summit Golf Brands in Barneveld, WI. He also followed his other passion and was the secretary, treasurer, and trailmaster of the Helena Roadrunners Snowmobile Club.  Larry was kind-hearted, loving, extremely stubborn and determined to fight cancer and did against all of the odds. These are traits that will never be forgotten and he will be truly missed by everyone who knew him. He loved riding snowmobiles, motorcycles, four-wheelers, and UTVs. He also had a passion for camping and tinkered with anything that had an engine. All of these things allowing him to do what he loved most-spending time with family and friends. He especially loved getting everyone together for the annual fourth of July fireworks on the White Family Hill.  Larry was blessed with two children,  Joseph “Joey” White and Brittany Lindh.  Larry met the love of his life, Melissia Straka, and got married on August 11, 2019.  He is survived by his wife, Melissia Straka White; children, Joseph White of Madison, Brittany (Andy) Lindh of Barneveld; stepchildren, Danielle (Donald) Reddell, Brandon (Victoria) Pierick both of Dodgeville, Brian II (Brittany) Pierick of Montfort, Deanna (Justin Christopher) Pierick of Mineral Point; parents, Raymond and Darlene White of Arena; siblings, Allan (Vicki) White of Plain, Barbara (John) Weier of Ridgeway; grandchildren, Xavier and Axel Lindh, Trenton and Tarrik Reddell, Brian III and Maylee Pierick, Baby Pierick due in December; as well as several brothers and sisters-in laws, uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and friends.  He was preceded in death by his sister Peggy Hardtke. Grandparents Herman and Alice Richardson and Ed and Agnes White. Parents-in-law Joseph and Hazel (Vesperman) Straka.  A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, August 1, 2021, from 12 noon to whenever at Larry and Melissia’s house, 113 E. Main Street, Cobb.  After Larry takes his final motorcycle ride with family and friends, there will be a private burial at a date to be determined.  Online condolences available at www.staffordfuneralhomes.com.  The Richardson-Stafford Funeral Home in Spring Green is assisting the family with the arrangements.
