Wisconsin celebrates Lottery Week
The state is recognizing Lottery Week, which is July 11-18.
Wisconsin Lottery Director Cindy Polzin said the Lottery provides extensive property tax relief. She said the Lottery provided more than $230 million to homeowners on 2020 property taxes. In addition, retailers of all sizes benefited from compensation of more than $50 million (stores that sell winning tickets receive money).
Since 1998, the Lottery has provided more than $9.1 billion in prizes, $4.8 billion in property tax relief and more than $1 billion in retailer compensation.
