Ruth Helen Bender

November 10, 1927 - May 1, 2021 Ruth Helen Bender, age 93 passed away at Agrace Hospice, Fitchburg, WI on May l , 2021. She was born in Sauk City, WI on the Farm on the Lower Wisconsin Riverway, to the late Andrew and Susan Huerth (kirch) on November 10, 1927. Ruth Loved the River her whole life! She was proceeded in Death by her husband Harvey Edward Bender, Son Dennis, Daughter Mary. Ruth and Harvey were united in marriage on December 19, 1946. They lived on the Farm until Harvey started Bender Masonry, and built a Brick house in Sauk City. Ruth was the bookkeeper for many years. Ruth with her love for the river rented Canoes for over 30 years, with her business Bluffview Canoe Rental. She is survived by her son Mark, Cindy Bender (Richard), her Granddaughter Bridget and Wade Rhyner (Bender). Along with 2 Great Grandchildren Emma, and Dylan. A celebration of her life will be held at a later Date. Ruth’s family wishes to thank her care givers at Agrace Hospice and Artisan Senior living, Baraboo, WI.
