FFA students recognize National Agriculture Day
Weston FFA students had the chance to drive their tractors to work as part of a celebration of agriculture.
On March 23, the FFA recognized National Agriculture Day. On that date, tractors lined Highway S in front of the school. There were not only modern tractors but also vintage models.
Weston FFA also hosted a human tractor pull in the afternoon with teams consisting of junior high students, high school students and Weston staff. Students in lower grades were invited to watch. In the end, the junior team emerged victorious and won root beer floats as a reward.
National Agriculture Day is marked across the country to shed light on different aspects of agriculture. The Agriculture Council of America helps promote the date.
