How to obtain a free ID for voting

The Spring Election is April 6 and there’s still time to get an ID if you plan to vote.
The Wisconsin DMV provides free IDs for voting purposes.
To obtain one, you’ll need to show valid identification such as a driver’s license, military or student ID card or other identification. For a complete list of documents, visit wisconsindmv.gov.
By going to a DMV service center, applicants can get an ID or a receipt verifying that they will be receiving one. Either the ID or the receipt may be shown at the polls.
