Lorraine (Schiffman) Esser

Sauk-Prairie - Lorraine (Schiffman) Esser Passed away on March 5, 2021 Her last days were spent in care at Agrace Hospice Care. Lorraine was born on October 7th, 1919 in Delton, Wisconsin to William & Mrytle Weidling. She married the love of her life Fancis Esser on April 11th, 1979 in Fairborn, Ohio. She lived most of her life in the Prairie Du Sac area with her later life being spent in Oxford, Wisconsin and wintering in Texas & Florida.  Francis and she spent their time traveling the world on vacations.   Lorraine grew up when Buck Board wagons were still a mode of transportation on the farm.  She lived a full life from seeing cars to airplanes, living with her family and suffering through the Great Depression, two World Wars and a man on the moon.  To say she had a full life is an understatement.   She is survived by seven of her children, (Donald, Richard and Joseph Schiffman, JoAnn Fasking, Sherry Pieper, Darrell and Duane Schiffman), 20 Grandchildren, 35 Great Grandchildren and 9 Great-Great Grandchildren.   She is preceded in death by her parents William & Myrtle Weidling, her husbands Joseph Schiffman, Alfred Wildenberg, Francis Esser and her son Timothy Schiffman, her sisters, Corma Howley and Izzle Huett and brother Stanley Weidling. The family wishes to thank Eagles Nest Assisted Living in Wisconsin Dells and Agrace Hospice Care in Fitchburg, Wisconsin for their excellent care in the last days of her life. The family plans a celebration of life to be held in the summer with Covid-19 pandemic permitting.   In lieu of flowers or memorials, the family wishes that donations in the name of Lorraine Esser be made to Agrace Hospice Care, 5359 E.
