Obituary: Gary J. Douglas

Gary J. Douglas, age 55, of Reedsburg, passed away on Wednesday, December 23, 2020. He was born on September 12, 1965 in Reedsburg, WI, the son of Charles J. and Katherine “Patricia” (Metzger) Douglas. On October 31, 1992, he was united in marriage to Lisa J. Nuskiewicz in Green Bay, WI. This marriage was blessed with three daughters. He devoted his life to his daughters and family. He was a former member of the Lion’s Club, a Reedsburg sports fan, and an active member of Trinity Baptist Church in Reedsburg. Gary enjoyed his newest hobby, which was fishing.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Paul; and Baxter (his dog).

Gary is survived by his wife, Lisa; daughters Meghan (Durrell Naquin) of Reedsburg, Olivia of Madison and Ava of Reedsburg; brothers Larry (Terri) Douglas, and Craig (Donna) Douglas, both of Reedsburg; mother and father-in-law: Chet and Audrey Nuskiewicz; along with nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

A memorial service for Gary will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at Trinity Baptist Church in Reedsburg with Pastor Michael Lopp officiating. Visitation will be on Saturday from 9:30 A.M. until the time of the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials of remembrance may be made to Trinity Baptist Church.
