People can now purchase 2021 annual passes for Wisconsin State Trails.

Passes cost $25 each for a full year or $5 per day.

Anyone 16 or older is required to have a pass to use State Trails for biking, cross-country skiing, horseback riding or in-line skating. Passes are not required for walkers or hikers.

Passes can be purchased at the Reedsburg Area Chamber of Commerce or by calling 888-305-0398.

Not all trails require pass. To find out which ones don’t, visit https://dnr.wisconsin.gov/topic/parks/admission/trailpass.

Fees from passes help pay for repairs and maintenance, as well as conservation.

Snowmobilers, ATV drivers and off-highway motorcycle operators pay separately through registration fees and gas taxes, so they are not required to buy a traditional pass.

Those who refuse to purchase the proper pass or registration could receive a citation.
