Obituary: John Lewis Moran

John Lewis Moran went to sleep in Jesus October 6, 2020. John was born November 24, 1944, to Virgil and Marvel (Austin) Moran in Dodgeville, Wisconsin.

John developed a love of music at a young age which continued all his life. He recorded many songs under the name of Johnny Austin and was a member of many bands over the years. He also enjoyed fishing whenever he could, and was a big Packer and Badgers fan.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law, Freeman Rabine, nephew, Randy Rabine and great granddaughter, McKinsey Brothers.

John is survived by his wife, Carol Grosskrueger, son Troy, Mauston; daughter, Heather (Dwayne) Saunders, Milton; son, Charles Christmas, Rolla, Missouri; stepchildren, Brenda Luke, Reedsburg; Debra Hindes (Andre McLaurin), Madison; James (Vickie) Luke, LaValle; Fred Luke, Reedsburg; Phillip (Cherie) Luke, Reedsburg; sisters, Virginia Rabine, Reedsburg; Judy (Michael) Witt, Reedsburg; 18 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. He also leaves behind his special friend Shadow.

A private burial was held October 20 at Greenwood Cemetery, Reedsburg, WI.
