SPSD holding referendum listening sessions

A referendum will take place on Tuesday, April 7.  Voters are being asked to approve borrowing to fund construction at Sauk Prairie High School, Merrimac Community Charter School, and the community pool. The Sauk Prairie School District began a long-term facilities strategic planning process in 2015.  The process identified three primary objectives: To modernize our high school, make it safer, and add classrooms to meet our needs for the next 30-50 years. To replace aging recreation and athletic facilities before they can no longer be used. To expand Merrimac Community Charter School to get all students under one roof. Come get your referendum questions answered and share your ideas.  Please join us for any of the following informational sessions: Date:  Friday, March 6 Time:  7:30-9:00 am Place:  Sauk Prairie Grille (200 Phillips Blvd., Sauk City) Format:  Open house-style, informal - stop in any time Date:  Monday, March 9 Time:  7:00-7:30 pm Place:  District Office Board Room  (440 13th St., Prairie du Sac) Format:  Panel presentation at start of Board Meeting  Date:  Thursday, March 12 Time:  3:45-5:45 pm Place:  Ruth Culver Community Library (540 Water St., Prairie du Sac) Format:  Open house-style, informal - stop in any time No time to join us?  Please visit our website to learn details of every project, or call Superintendent Jeff Wright at 643-5980.
