Randy Lee Pletzer

Randy Lee Pletzer, age 57 of Spring Green, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 19, 2019 as a result of a heart attack. He was born to parents Dale and Barb (Christian) Pletzer on October 7, 1962, in Madison, Wisconsin. He was raised along with four siblings in the Mazomanie area where he graduated from Wisconsin Heights High School in 1981. Randy was formerly employed by Terry Leidig Enterprises LLC, where he took pride in the many years as an arborist/tree cutter. A passion to say the least when it came to any kind of tree work. Randy is survived by his three children, Sara Burchfield and Josh Seep, Ryan Pletzer and Bree Balch, Morgan Pletzer; a step-daughter, Heather Disrud; five grandchildren, Joseph Quinn, Hannah, Andrew, Carlee Burchfield, and Liliana Pletzer; his mother Barb Pletzer; 2 sisters, Deb (Tim) DeSmet, Pam Creasey; a brother, Ray Pletzer; many nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends. He is preceeded in death by his father Dale and brother Larry. Randy was an avid hunter, fishermen, loved ginseng and morel hunting, telling stories, teaching his grandkids many things, taking many adventures, or just taking a cruise down the road. He enjoyed spending time with his grandkids, family and friends. Randy could always be counted on to give you a tight hug. He was never afraid to say it just like it was. Randy will be forever missed. Those who truly knew Randy knew he didn’t wish for a funeral, so a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
