Beaver soccer comes up short vs. Fort Atkinson, Tomah

Slow starts plagued the Beaver boys soccer team this past week in losses against Fort Atkinson and Tomah with Reedsburg ending the week with an overall record of 2-7-1 overall.

Reedsburg made the long trip to Fort Atkinson on Tuesday for conference play and a 2-0 halftime deficit was too big a hole to climb out of in a 3-0 setback.

River Valley volleyball splits pair in SWC

River Valley’s volleyball squad opened this past week with a convincing win in a three-set sweep at Dodgeville. Coach Mariah Hill felt it was one of the best showings of the season for her team.

Silverwolves comeback falls short vs. Highland

For the second week in a row, it was a competitive performance for the Wonewoc-Center/Weston Silverwolves co-op, eight-man football team against a quality opponent but for the second week in a row, it wasn’t enough to earn a win as Highland held on to edge the Silverwolves, 30-20, in the Ridge and Valley Conference Friday night as part of Homeco

Beavers compete at Badger Conference girls tennis tourney

Reedsburg joined their fellow Badger Small teams, along with those from Badger Large, in the Badger Conference Girls Tennis Tournament over the weekend on the UW-Madison campus. Edgewood emerged as the team champion, and they also claim the overall title this season in Badger Small.

Make it 5 wins in a row for River Valley Blackhawks football

River Valley’s football team helped make it a happy Homecoming week in the district with a 28-6 win over Richland Center as the Blackhawks won for the fifth straight week. Coach Tyler McCain was proud of how his team prepared for the game in a jam-packed week of activities.

Beavers rout Baraboo on gridiron to go 4-2 overall

Reedsburg and Baraboo met for the 138th time in high school football last Friday night at Reedsburg’s Millennium Field with the Reedsburg Beavers rolling to a 49-7 victory to retain possession of the Old River Jug, which goes to the winning school each year.

River Valley extends win streak to 6 before loss on soccer pitch

On Tuesday last week, the Blackhawks headed to Richland Center to play the Hornets in SWC Boys Soccer action. The Blackhawks created their first scoring opportunity early in the game and Ron Osborn took advantage of that and slammed a shot outside of the box into the net, with an assist to Edward Thomas.
