It was another stellar year for Sauk Prairie’s boys and girls sports teams, which created many highlights and lifetime memories during the 2024 calendar year.

Weston wrapped up a five-game home-stand in high school boys basketball action this past week as Kickapoo and Ithaca paid a visit to Weston High School.
Despite being in a tournament field of mostly larger schools, Ithaca/Weston wrestling fared quite well at Saturday’s 15-team event at Logan High School in La Crosse. I/W had 4 wrestlers place in the top three, with two champions, and were eighth in team scoring overall in the individual format.

After over a full month of pre-season workouts, the Reedsburg Beaver gymnastics team will finally have its first competition of the season on Friday night as perennial conference and state powerhouse Mount Horeb will be at RAHS for a 6:30 p.m. dual.
The Beavers jumped back above the .500 mark for the season and notched the first conference win of the season in the process Friday night, pulling away down the stretch for a 64-47 win over the Baraboo Thunderbirds in girls basketball action at RAHS.
Reedsburg improved to 2-0 for the Badger Small dual meet wrestling season last Thursday with a lopsided win over Baraboo before running into some difficulty on Saturday at the Dells Dual Invite with losses in three of five duals against top flight competition.
As we head toward the Christmas break, the area high school girls hockey co-op, the Badger Lightning, had a busy stretch with two games last week within the Badger Conference.
