After reading Brian Brown’s letter in last week’s Reedsburg Independent three times I’m still not sure what he was trying to say. At least he did get vaccinated.
For the decades that preceded the Covid-19 pandemic, most United States citizens voted in person at a school, courthouse, town hall, church or some other location that had sufficient space available. While this method of voting was inconvenient for many voters, it was also considered a duty for most.
One of my favorite things about summer is the Sauk County Fair.
I’m way past the age of enjoying midway rides and eating lots of deep-fried food, but I will always have a soft spot for the animals, exhibits and kids.
The world needs more swallows. It does not need more fat cats. So the cats have been grounded until the little swallows take flight. They are not being gracious about it, but I am impervious to their complaining. Because I love the swallows. Our little family launched four flyers a few weeks ago and now three more are almost ready.
I recently saw that the new budget passed by the State Senate and Assembly was voted for by both Republicans and Democrats. This makes it the first bi-partisan budget in well over a decade, and I have to extend this credit to Sen. Marklein who has helped craft this budget since the very beginning.
The last time I wrote to you was early May. It is hard to fathom that we are already into July! As always, I hope you are well! I feel the masking mandate changes outside of health care have certainly helped our optimism as have the continued decrease in COVID cases in our area.
