Jingle Mingle 2025 raises more than $32k for charity

Viking Liquor of Reedsburg hosted its annual Jingle Mingle Bourbon Auction on Dec. 6, continuing a tradition of giving back to the community. Each year, Viking Liquor receives a limited allocation of sought-after bourbons and chooses to auction them off to benefit local charities. This year’s event raised $32,502.68. On Dec.

Sauk County Institute of Leadership celebrates class’s halfway mark with immersive leadership experience

The Sauk County Institute of Leadership (SCIL) reached a milestone on Dec. 11, celebrating the halfway point of its current leadership class with a full day of learning, reflection, and inspiration from leaders across the region.

Historical Perspective: Log Cabins — one of history’s oldest architectural structures

Log cabins constructed for human habitation originated in northern and eastern Europe during the Bronze Age (over 4,000 years ago). Swedish settlers brought the knowledge of their construction to America in the 1600s.
