The La Valle Library will hold a different sort of meet-and-greet with Santa Claus this December.

Appointments will be set up over Zoom for virtual visits. Santa will be at the library on Dec. 19.

Slots are limited so contact the library right away to arrange a time.

The Farmer Angel Network will host I Am the Farmer over Zoom at 1 p.m. Dec. 9.

The RAMC Employee Fund and Plateco donated $5,800 to purchase 10 wheelchairs for use in the Medical Center. 

Four crafters recently held a fundraiser at Poor Nate’s. Sales of food and crafts brought in $600, which was given to the Reedsburg Area Food Pantry.

C.W. Butterfield, in his “History of Sauk County-1880,” relates a story about a couple of enterprising characters who found a better way to raise capital to fill their pockets. They literally made their own money…by counterfeiting it.
