Mollie Maes qualifies from River Valley for WIAA State Cross Country Meet


Sophomore Mollie Maes from River Valley High School qualified for the WIAA State Cross Country Meet in Girls D-2 with a ninth place overall finish at Saturday’s WIAA Sectional Meet in Wis. Rapids. Maes had the third best time among the eligible individual qualifiers and the top five advance to State. Maes will run on Saturday afternoon at the WIAA State Meet in Wisconsin Rapids. For the second year in a row, the River Valley Blackhawks will have a girls runner competing at the WIAA State Cross Country Meet. Last year, Brielle Grant, as a sophomore, was able to qualify but Grant was unable to run this year in the WIAA D-2 Sectional Meet in Wis.
