Police respond to unconscious motorist

A La Valle man was arrested Dec. 19 after authorities were called for a report of a motorist slumped over the wheel of a running vehicle.
According to the Reedsburg Police Department, officers were dispatched to a parking lot on South Albert Avenue, where they discovered the vehicle and the motorist, Derek A. Long, 48. Police found drug-related evidence, and Long was arrested on charges of operating while under the influence, third offense, possession of meth, possession of THC, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Long was taken to the Sauk County Jail.
