Alternate-side parking has begun in Reedsburg

It’s that time of year again: Time to make sure your vehicle is parked on the proper side of the street.

Reedsburg’s alternate-side parking rule went into effect Dec. 1 and continues until April 1, 2022.

On even-numbered dates, vehicles need to be parked on the side of the road with even-numbered addresses. It’s vice versa for odd-numbered dates. Alternate-side parking will be enforced from 2 to 6 a.m., meaning you only need to ensure your vehicle is compliant during those times.

Note that snow emergencies may be declared in the event of severe weather, meaning all vehicles will need to be removed from city streets.

Those who forget or refuse to comply risk receiving a ticket.

Communities use alternate-side parking during colder months to make it easier for plows to clear streets of snow.
