Reedsburg man arrested after crash

A motorist from Reedsburg was taken into custody May 10 following a head-on collision.
Reedsburg Police, Fire and EMS responded to a crash in the 1700 block of Eighth Street just before 7:30 p.m. According to the police report, Kirk P. Knight, 41, of Reedsburg, was westbound on Eighth Street when his vehicle crossed the centerline and struck an eastbound vehicle driven by John J. Keel, 47, of Beaver Dam. Keel and another passenger sustained minor injuries.
Airbags were deployed in both vehicles, and each one required towing away from the scene, according to the Reedsburg Police Department.
Knight was arrested for operating while under the influence and causing injury, obstructing an officer, misdemeanor bail jumping and felony bail jumping. He was also cited for operating left of center and arrested on a probation hold. He was taken to the Sauk County Jail, according to the Reedsburg Police Department.
The investigation continues.
