Butterfest postponed due to pandemic

Butterfest will not take place in June as originally planned this year.

Organizers released a statement indicating that they need to push the event back due to the pandemic. They still want to hold the event this year if at all possible.

Organizers said they considered advice from their insurance carrier and reviewed local health regulations to help them make the decision.

More details will be provided as progress continues.

Those in charge of Butterfest previously announced that a new organization has stepped up to help with the festival. Reedsburg Young Professionals has agreed to help run the parade, which is a major highlight of Reedsburg’s largest community celebration. The celebration has traditionally included truck and tractor pulls, children’s activities, and Miss and Little Miss Reedsburg contests, to name a few.

Butterfest was not held last year due to COVID-19.
