Reedsburg Police Department undergoes accreditation process

The Reedsburg Police Department will receive a visit from the Wisconsin Law Enforcement Accreditation Group on Dec. 15.

Assessors will examine all aspects of the department’s policy, procedures, management, operation and support service.

This is part of a voluntary process to gain accreditation, which recognizes law enforcement for professional excellence.

As part of the assessment, agency employees and the public may provide comments to the assessors. This may be done over the phone. To participate, call 608-415-9429 between 1 and 3 p.m. on Dec. 16. Comments are limited to 10 minutes per person and must address the department’s ability to comply with WILEAG standards. A copy of the standards is available at the department, 200 S. Park St.
