BOOKS & BEYOND: TODDLER STORYTIME
Mondays at 10:00 a.m.
Toddlers and their caregivers are invited to join storytime for stories, songs, and activities. No registration required. For Ages 1-2. 20-25 minutes.
 
BOOKS & BEYOND: PRESCHOOL STORYTIME
Wednesdays at 10:00 a.m.
Preschoolers and their caregivers are invited to join storytime for stories, songs, and a craft. No registration required. For Ages 3-5. 25-30 minutes.
 
DUCK STORYTIME
Wednesday, September 30 at 10:00 a.m.
A visitor from Farmer Brown’s farm will be coming to both libraries! Come meet Duck from the beloved classic Click Clack Moo Cows that Type by Doreen Cronin. Duck will also be at the Ruth Culver Community Library in Prairie du Sac on Thursday, October 1 at 10:00 a.m. There will be no storytime on Monday, September 28, as Ms. Tori will be traveling with Duck to our local schools.

Storytime will take place at the Fire Station where a firefighter will read a story and we can tour inside a fire truck! October 4-10 is fire safety week!
 
SAUK PRAIRIE COMMUNITY READ DISCUSSION
Saturday, October 10 at 10:00 a.m.
Join us for SP CAN’s sixth annual community read, continuing to focus on social isolation and loneliness. Free copies of Mattering: the Secret to a Life of Deep Connection and Purpose by Jennifer Breheny Wallace will be available at both libraries starting Tuesday, September 1. The book discussion will be at the George Culver Community Library.
 
STORYTIME PAUSE

Ms. Tori is traveling to London, England and there will be storytimes from Monday, October 12 to Monday, October 19. Storytime will resume on Wednesday, October 21.

October’s Pick: Killers of the Flower Moon by David Grann 
Copies of the book are available for check out at the library. The book club reads a variety of fiction and nonfiction. All are welcome.

The Culver’s of Sauk City is once again sponsoring a reading program. Children are invited to read and earn free Culver’s treats. Stop by the library for more information and to pick up your bookmark.

1,000 BOOKS BEFORE KINDERGARTEN
Can you read 1,000 books with your child before they start kindergarten? Children and parents can earn incentives and small prizes along the way. The real reward: kids who are excited and ready to learn. Parents whose children who have not yet started 5K can sign up by visiting the library.
 
BOOK SALE
The library book sale is open during regular library hours. Browse used books and movies for all ages at reasonable prices in the library’s reading area. New items are added weekly. All proceeds benefit the library via the Friends of the George Culver Community Library.
 
EXPLORE THE LIBRARY OF THINGS
Instant Pot
Ever wanted to try a recipe, but it calls for an Instant Pot? An Instant Pot is a pressure cooker, slow-cooker, rice cooker, and yogurt maker all in one package. Try before you buy, borrow it for a special recipe, or just use it at home! Check out is two weeks. Patrons must be 18 or older to check out this thing.
 
LIBRARIAN’S CHOICE REQUEST
Have a librarian pick out books and movies selected specifically for you! Fill out the form on our website, saukcitylibrary.org, to let us know what you’re interested in. A librarian will select movies or books for you and call to arrange pick-up.
 
PUZZLE SWAP
Bring in your gently-used puzzles (in good condition, with all the pieces) and exchange for new ones. No puzzles to share? No worries - donations are not required to take part in the fun. Feel free to return puzzles when you are done, or keep them forever.

Celebrate Winnie the Pooh’s 100th birthday at the library! From 10:00-11:00 a.m., kids can enjoy Winnie the Pooh themed craft and activity stations, including Pin the Tail on Eeyore, draw your own Heffalump, and more! From 5:30-6:30 p.m., adults can embrace their inner child to learn some new facts and “Think, think, think” while testing their knowledge with Winnie the Pooh themed trivia.
