BOOKS & BEYOND: TODDLER STORYTIME
Mondays at 10:00 a.m.
Toddlers and their caregivers are invited to join storytime for stories, songs, and activities. No registration required. For Ages 1-2. 20-25 minutes.

Preschoolers and their caregivers are invited to join storytime for stories, songs, and a craft. No registration required. For Ages 3-5. 25-30 minutes.
FREE SEED LIBRARY
April-August
Small packets of flowers and vegetable seeds will be available at the library. Take only what you will grow. Our free seed library will be out every year. New offerings will be available next year. Open April - August.
SUMMER READING PROGRAM
June 9 - August 15
Take part in our Summer Reading Program for children, teens, and adults, as we “Unearth a Story.” Record your reading with tracking sheets and enter to win cool prizes. Visit the library for fun programs and activities. Full event schedule on our website, saukcitylibrary.org. Reading program registration begins June 9 and continues all summer long.
MAKE ANIMAL BEAD KEYCHAINS
Thursday, August 13 at 4:00 p.m.
Join us at the library for a fun teen craft program and create colorful bead animal keychains using simple patterns and bright pony beads. All materials are provided, and everyone will leave with a handmade keychain to show off or share. Geared for ages 12-17. No registration required.

Get “hired” by the Adventure Guild in fun one shot quests as we Unearth a Story this summer. In our last journey of the summer, join us for a classic dungeon crawl through an ancient pyramid. Avoid traps, find treasure, and have a dangerous encounter with the pyramid’s mummy. Geared for ages 12-17. Registration is required. Call, visit the library or register online.

The Library will be closed on Saturday, September 5 and Monday, September 7 for the Cow Chip Festival and Labor Day. During this time, the book drop in the parking lot will remain open. Regular hours will resume on Tuesday, September 8. Come see us in the Cow Chip Parade!
1,000 BOOKS BEFORE KINDERGARTEN
Can you read 1,000 books with your child before they start kindergarten? Children and parents can earn incentives and small prizes along the way. The real reward: kids who are excited and ready to learn. Parents whose children who have not yet started 5K can sign up by visiting the library.
BOOK SALE
The library book sale is open during regular library hours. Browse used books and movies for all ages at reasonable prices in the library’s reading area. New items are added weekly. All proceeds benefit the library via the Friends of the George Culver Community Library.

Crochet Set
Do you want to try crochet, but you’re not sure how to start? Check out our Crochet Set! The set comes with 12 different size crochet hooks, 3 easy patterns and a piece of practice yarn to work on your stitches. Check out is two weeks. Provide your own yarn to complete one of the included projects.
LIBRARIAN’S CHOICE REQUEST
Have a librarian pick out books and movies selected specifically for you! Fill out the form on our website, saukcitylibrary.org, to let us know what you’re interested in. A librarian will select movies or books for you and call to arrange pick-up.
PUZZLE SWAP
Bring in your gently-used puzzles (in good condition, with all the pieces) and exchange for new ones. No puzzles to share? No worries - donations are not required to take part in the fun. Feel free to return puzzles when you are done, or keep them forever.
