Pets of the Week: Bronze and Pretty Pretty

The Sauk County Humane Society has unveiled its featured pets, with comments from shelter staff. They are as follows.

Bronze is a nearly 7-month-old Australian kelpie mix who combines good looks, brains, and plenty of energy. With his striking brindle coat, alert ears, and golden eyes, he tends to catch attention wherever he goes. Like many young working-breed dogs, Bronze is always ready for action and would thrive in an active home that can keep both his body and mind busy. He already knows come, sit, down, and shake, and he’s eager to keep learning. He’s still working on his house training and can pull on the leash when excitement gets the best of him, but he’s a smart pup who responds well to guidance and consistency. Bronze can be a little shy when meeting new people, but once he gets comfortable, his affectionate side shines through. At around 60 pounds, he’s a big puppy who loves giving kisses and can be a bit jumpy, so a home without small children would be best. He’s also a little too curious for cats and can be selective about his canine friends. For someone looking for an active and loyal companion with lots of potential, Bronze could be a great match. He is up to date on his vaccinations and will be neutered prior to adoption

 Pretty Pretty is a 6-year-old long-haired tabby who has transformed from a timid newcomer into one of the sweetest cats around. When she first arrived at the shelter, she was unsure of her surroundings, but thanks to time spent with our volunteers in the socialization room, her true personality has blossomed. Now she eagerly greets visitors, always excited for a chance to stretch her legs and spend time outside her kennel. Pretty Pretty keeps her kennel nice and clean, loves climbing into laps for pets and treats, and enjoys being groomed while soaking up the attention. She has a playful, funny side that shines through once she's comfortable, making her a joy to be around. Between her beautiful coat, affectionate nature, and easygoing personality, Pretty Pretty is the kind of cat who seems to have it all. She’s truly a wonderful companion just waiting for a place to call home. She is spayed and up to date on her vaccinations.
