BOOKS & BEYOND: TODDLER STORYTIME
Mondays at 10:00 a.m.
Toddlers and their caregivers are invited to join storytime for stories, songs, and activities. No registration required. For Ages 1-2. 20-25 minutes.

Storytime will be taking a break from Monday, May 11 through Monday, May 25. Ms. Tori is taking a storytime break to get ready for the summer! Storytime will return on Wednesday, May 27.
FREE SEED LIBRARY
April-August
Small packets of flowers and vegetable seeds will be available at the library. Take only what you will grow. Our free seed library will be out every year. New offerings will be available next year. Open April - August.

CONTAINER GARDENING IN SMALL SPACES

Do you live in an apartment or a home with a very small yard but still want a garden? This presentation will demonstrate how anyone can grow a garden of flowers or vegetables in pots and other containers. Attendees will learn the basic essentials for creating a container garden, selecting good vegetable and flower candidates, selecting containers, caring and maintaining their container garden, and more.
PROJECT : CONSTELLATION CONCERT

Join us for a performance by Project : Constellation, a violin and guitar duo from Grand Forks, North Dakota! Half-authentically Scandinavian (Santiago grew up in Sweden!), this husband-and-wife team explores the vibrant music of Sweden and Norway from 1890 to today. Enjoy Swedish and Norwegian Children’s songs, Eurovision winners, 80s rock, contemporary, holiday songs, and more. This event is open to the public and free to attend!

The cookbook club is back in action! Sign up for a recipe from this quarter’s cookbook, whip it up, and join us for a potluck extravaganza! Calling all builders, dreamers, and LEGO® lovers! Build cool creations with the library’s collection of LEGO®s! You can leave your own at home! Geared for grades K-5. No registration required.
1,000 BOOKS BEFORE KINDERGARTEN
Can you read 1,000 books with your child before they start kindergarten? Children and parents can earn incentives and small prizes along the way. The real reward: kids who are excited and ready to learn. Parents whose children who have not yet started 5K can sign up by visiting the library.
BOOK SALE
The library book sale is open during regular library hours. Browse used books and movies for all ages at reasonable prices in the library’s reading area. New items are added weekly. All proceeds benefit the library via the Friends of the George Culver Community Library.
EXPLORE THE LIBRARY OF THINGS
Bird Watching Kits
Check out a bird watching kit from the library and enjoy the beautiful outdoors. Use the binoculars to spot birds and the bird-watching guides to identify them. The library has individual backpack kits, designed for children and families, and a group kit. The group kit was sponsored by the Sauk Prairie chapter of Bird City. Check out is two weeks. The group kit is available for patrons 18 and older.
PUZZLE SWAP
Exchange your gently-used puzzles (in good condition, with all the pieces) for new ones. No puzzles to share? No worries - donations are not required! Feel free to keep puzzles or return them when you are done.

Have a librarian pick out books and movies selected specifically for you! Fill out the form on our website, saukcitylibrary.org, to let us know what you’re interested in. A librarian will select movies or books for you and call to arrange pick-up.
