Knives Out  Review   A murder mystery that feels like a brand new version of the classic board game turned movie Clue? Yes, ladies and gentlemen, if you have ever played the game Clue or enjoy a great mystery, Knives Out is for you. Knives Out stars a wide array of incredibly talented actors such as Daniel Craig, Jamie Lee Curtis, Christopher Plummer, Don Johnson, Chris Evans, and Lakeith Stanfield. Daniel Craig plays a detective investigating the death of an incredibly wealthy man on the night of his 85th birthday. After interesting evidence starts to arise in the investigation, Craig begins his questioning of the party’s attendees. Most of the attendees are the man’s family, and most of them have dark secrets to hide. Written and directed by Rian Johnson, Knives Out is easily one of the greatest and most well-crafted murder mysteries or thrillers I have ever had the pleasure of seeing. I was on the edge of my seat from minute one, and not for a moment did that change. And somewhat surprisingly, it is an outstandingly funny movie. While sitting on the edge of my seat for so long, I had to worry about falling off due to laughter. I was gasping out of surprise after twists and turns and needing to take a breath from laughter after hilarious jokes and gags. I don’t want to divulge too much of the plot or what happens and reveals itself throughout Knives Out. Just know that it is a great, original movie that I would love to see a second time. It’s that perfect, folks. I’m going to start sounding like a broken record with my ratings being so high lately, but the theatre has reached its greatest season of quality. And Knives Out is a perfect example of why.   5 stars.
