Ithaca/Weston tracksters gearing for Ridge and Valley Conference Meet

The Ithaca/Weston Track and Field program is looking to the Ridge and Valley Conference Meet on May 20 at North Crawford High School but I/W got a sneak peak at the rest of the league’s teams and athletes on Thursday last week as the R&V schools, plus Fennimore, competed at Kickapoo High School.

Floggers take top spot for week in Golf League

The Floggers have taken over the top spot in the Monday Night Men’s Golf League at the Reedsburg Country Club, holding a seven-point margin over Evergreen Custom Builders.

Grant, Hill, Graham win titles for River Valley track and field

River Valley may be short on numbers compared to some of the other high school track and field programs in the area but there is not a shortage of strong performances for the athletes that are representing the Blackhawks program and that trend continued last week in two separate meets.

Sauk Prairie’s girls soccer team rolled to an 11-0 win over Portage/Poynette on April 29.

The game was stopped after 60 minutes due to the mercy rule.

The Eagles improved to 4-3-2 overall and are 3-0-1 in the Badger Small Conference.

Sauk Prairie’s boys tennis team fell to Reedsburg, 6-1, on April 29.

Eagles No. 2 singles player Charlie Endres posted a 6-4, 6-2 win over Reedsburg’s Ethan Bruan.

Reedsburg won the other six flights in straight sets.

SP softball outplayed by Mount Horeb, Platteville, River Valley

Sauk Prairie’s girls softball team remained winless after another tough week.

The Eagles dropped three games and fell to 0-14 this season, including an 0-8 mark in the Badger Small Conference.

Sauk Prairie has monumental win against Reedsburg on baseball diamond

Reedsburg has one of the finest baseball programs in the state.

The Beavers have reached the state tournament four times during their illustrious history. Reedsburg has won the conference title two straight years and leads the Badger Small again this spring.
