Pets of the Week: Cha Cha and Jackson

The Sauk County Humane Society has unveiled its featured pets, with comments from shelter staff. They are as follows.

Cha Cha is a 7-year-old tri-colored Beagle who came to the shelter after her owner’s health began to decline. She may be a little older, but this girl still has plenty of pep in her step and loves to play, explore, and stay active. Once the fun winds down, Cha Cha is just as happy to settle in for some cuddle time. Like any true Beagle, her nose is usually in charge, and walks can quickly turn into sniffing adventures when something interesting catches her attention. Daily walks and a secure fenced yard would be great ways to help her stay active and work toward a healthier weight. Cha Cha does well with kids, seniors, and most other dogs, but cats are a little too tempting for her. Sweet, fun, affectionate, and full of personality, Cha Cha is ready to find her new favorite people. She is spayed and up to date on her vaccinations.

Jackson is a black and white domestic shorthair kitten who came to the shelter as a stray, and he’s already showing us what a sweet little guy he is. He’s quick to greet you at the front of his kennel, ready for some attention and curious about what might be happening outside his door. Jackson has plenty of that classic kitten playfulness and loves having a chance to get out, explore, and have some fun. He’s friendly, curious, and seems pretty happy to have people around to join in on his adventures. Of course, being a kitten means there’s always something new to investigate, play with, or pounce on. With his cute black and white markings and fun little personality, Jackson has all the ingredients to grow into one pretty great cat. He is up to date on vaccinations and will be neutered prior to adoption.
