Pets of the Week: Mace and Cascade

The Sauk County Humane Society has unveiled its featured pets, with comments from shelter staff. They are as follows.

Mace is a sweet 2-year-old American pit bull terrier/boxer mix with a gentle personality and plenty of love to give. At 48 pounds, she’s a playful, friendly girl who loves being around people and would do well in an active home with or without kids. Mace is past the puppy chaos and already knows come, sit, down, and drop it. She was also reported to be house-trained and keeps her kennel nice and clean. When she’s not playing or joining you for a walk, Mace is more than happy to settle in for some serious snuggle time. She’s a little too curious about cats and can be selective with other dogs, so a dog match-up would be needed. Mace is an easygoing sweetheart who’s ready to cuddle her way into a family of her own! She is spayed and up to date on her vaccinations.

Cascade is about 4 months old, and this handsome domestic medium hair has an adorable black and white tuxedo pattern that makes him look dressed for every occasion. He was surrendered as an unwanted litter, but this little guy is more than ready to be somebody’s very wanted best friend. Cascade is a lap cat with plenty of kitten energy mixed in. He loves climbing the scratching towers, chasing wand toys, and exploring anything that catches his attention. He’s also quite the chatterbox and will happily purr away while leaning into your hand for more pets. Cascade is easy to pick up, loves being around people, and has no problem taking a break from his adventures for some quality lap time. Playful, curious, affectionate, and just plain fun, Cascade is a sweet little guy with a whole lot of personality packed into one very cute tuxedo. He is neutered and up to date on his vaccinations.
