At the Library: Ruth Culver

POKÉMON MEET-UP
Wednesday, September 30, 4:00pm
Bring your Pokémon cards to the Ruth Culver Community Library and meet with other Pokémon enthusiasts to battle, trade, and play. For Pokémon Go players, we will also have a lure on one of our local Pokéstops.
 
HIGH SCHOOL DROP-IN
Tuesday, October 6, 6:45pm
Hang out, eat snacks, play games, paint or make something at the Ruth Culver Community Library! This event is for grades 9-12 only. No registration is needed.
 
NO-SCHOOL DAY: RUBBER DUCKY DOODLE PARTY
Wednesday, October 7, 1:00pm
Join us at the Ruth Culver Community Library to create your own unique rubber ducky! We’ll have a variety of craft materials to use including paint pens, stickers, accessories, and more so that you can doodle and craft a ducky unique to you. For grades K-5. No registration necessary.
 
SPECIAL STORYTIME: DUCK CHARACTER VISIT

A visitor from Farmer Brown’s farm will be coming to storytime at the Ruth Culver Community Library! Come meet Duck from the beloved classic Click Clack Moo Cows that Type by Doreen Cronin.
 
BOUNCING BABIES
Friday, September 25, 8:30am
Bouncing Babies at the Ruth Culver Community Library is held Friday mornings at 8:30am, before the library officially opens. Join Miss Bethany for a storytime geared for ages 0-2 focusing on songs, fingerplays, and short books to grow their minds and motor skills. TINY TOTS

Geared towards ages 2-3, Tiny Tots is held at the Ruth Culver Community Library Fridays at 10:00am and focuses on shorter books, puppets, songs, and movement activities with a playtime afterwards.  This storytime is a good option for those who have outgrown our Bouncing Babies storytime but may not be quite ready for the longer books in our regular storytimes.
 
STORYTIME BREAK
There will be no Storytime Tuesday, September 29 while Miss Bethany visits local schools with Duck.  In addition, Bouncing Babies and Tiny Tots will on break Friday, October 2.
 
CULVER’S READING CHALLENGE RETURNS
The Culver’s reading challenge returns this fall! Earn free food just by reading! Ages 18 and under can pick up a bookmark for the challenge at the Ruth Culver Community Library.
 
LIBRARY HOURS
The Ruth Culver Community Library is open Monday through Thursday, 9:00am to 8:00pm, Friday, 9:00am to 6:00pm and Saturday, 9:00am to 4:00pm. Lobby pick up and curbside service remain available to those who wish to use them.  Call the library at 608-643-8318 with questions.
