BOOKS & BEYOND: TODDLER STORYTIME
Mondays at 10:00 a.m.
Toddlers and their caregivers are invited to join storytime for stories, songs, and activities. No registration required. For Ages 1-2. 20-25 minutes.

Wednesdays at 10:00 a.m.
Preschoolers and their caregivers are invited to join storytime for stories, songs, and a craft. No registration required. For Ages 3-5. 25-30 minutes.
 
LINKCAT OFFLINE
April 12-15
LINKcat will be offline from Sunday, April 12 at 5:00 pm through Thursday, April 16 while we migrate to a new ILS system. LINKcat and the LINKcat app will be down. Services will be limited during that time. You will not be able to renew items, place holds or pay fines. You can still check out, but you will need your library card. Holds will not expire while LINKcat is offline, there will be no overdue fines and items won’t be due back until after the migration is complete. Your PIN will reset to your birthday (MMDD). FIRST ANNUAL FRIENDS WALK
Saturday, April 18 at 9:30 a.m.
Join us for the First Annual Friends Walk, a fun and meaningful community event connecting Prairie du Sac to Sauk City in support of our local libraries.
Hosted by the Friends of the George Culver Community Library and the Ruth Culver Community Library, this walk is a great way to enjoy the outdoors, stay active, and show your support for these valuable community resources. Whether you walk the full route or just part of the way, all are welcome to participate. The walk starts at 10:00 a.m at the library in Prairie du Sac and ends at the library in Sauk City. Bring your friends, family, and walking shoes for a day of fresh air, community connection, and library support. Fun for all along the Great Sauk Trail!
 
FREE SEED LIBRARY
April-August
Small packets of flowers and vegetable seeds will be available at the library. Take only what you will grow. Our free seed library will be out every year. New offerings will be available next year. Open April - August.
 
EARTH DAY CELEBRATION
Tuesday, April 21, 4:00-5:30 p.m.
Celebrate Earth Day at the library! Build a recycled boat, create a native seed ball for your garden, decorate a nature badge, and much more! Learn from the Conservation Alliance and check out PBS resources. Geared for ages K-5th. No registration required.

Create and Connect! A monthly program for adults to enjoy community and unleash creativity. Bring the project you’re currently working on, or craft an item to take with you. MOM’S MORNING OUT

Celebrate Mother’s Day a week early with some self-care at our candle making workshop! Mix your own scent blend and create a small wood wick candle while sipping faux-mosas and getting to know other moms. Registration required. Register on our website, by phone, or at the library.

CONTAINER GARDENING IN SMALL SPACES

Hosted by Sauk County Master Gardeners
Do you live in an apartment or a home with a very small yard but still want a garden? This presentation will demonstrate how anyone can grow a garden of flowers or vegetables in pots and other containers. Attendees will learn the basic essentials for creating a container garden, selecting good vegetable and flower candidates, selecting containers, caring and maintaining their container garden, and more. 
 
CULVER’S READING PROGRAM
The Culver’s of Sauk City is once again sponsoring a reading program. Children are invited to read and earn free Culver’s treats. Stop by the library for more information and to pick up your bookmark. This program ends May 2.
 
1,000 BOOKS BEFORE KINDERGARTEN
Can you read 1,000 books with your child before they start kindergarten? Children and parents can earn incentives and small prizes along the way. The real reward: kids who are excited and ready to learn. Parents whose children who have not yet started 5K can sign up by visiting the library.
 
BOOK SALE
The library book sale is open during regular library hours. Browse used books and movies for all ages at reasonable prices in the library’s reading area. New items are added weekly. All proceeds benefit the library via the Friends of the George Culver Community Library.

Crochet Set
Do you want to try crochet, but you’re not sure how to start? Check out our Crochet Set! The set comes with 12 different size crochet hooks, 3 easy patterns and a piece of practice yarn to work on your stitches. Check out is two weeks. Provide your own yarn to complete one of the included projects.
 
PUZZLE SWAP
Exchange your gently-used puzzles (in good condition, with all the pieces) for new ones. No puzzles to share? No worries - donations are not required! Feel free to keep puzzles or return them when you are done.

Have a librarian pick out books and movies selected specifically for you! Fill out the form on our website, saukcitylibrary.org, to let us know what you’re interested in. A librarian will select movies or books for you and call to arrange pick-up.
