As part of Bald Eagle Watching Days, the Tripp Museum in Prairie du Sac hosted Art and Dawn Shegonee. Art, a Menominee and Potawatomi elder, along with his wife Dawn, shared how their culture incorporates the Bald Eagle. Art opens his presentation with Chief Seattle’s famous speech. The event was titled: “Native American History and the Spirit of the Bald Eagle.” In addition, the Tripp had displays from its bird collection.
