Knights of Columbus donates to Reedsburg Area Food Pantry
The Reedsburg Knights of Columbus provided financial support to the Reedsburg Area Food Pantry this winter.
The first $1,000 check was presented by Knights of Columbus member Daniel Rose, left, to Anne Seamonson with the Pantry on Jan. 11. The money came from a fundraising breakfast that was held at Sacred Heart School in December.
The second donation, $200, was given by the local council as part of a matching funds program facilitated through the Supreme Knights of Columbus. Under the program, which is dubbed “Food for Families,” a $100 rebate is given to local councils for each $500 they donate to an area food pantry. Local Knights of Columbus members voted that the rebate go to the Reedsburg Area Food Pantry as an additional donation. That check was presented on Feb. 22 by Knights member Dennis Rose, left, to Anne Seamonson and Bill Heinz with the food pantry. (Submitted photos)
