Hockey players travel to state tourney

Allison Anderson, below, center, and Mary Marck, left, River Valley Middle School students traveled to the 12U-b hockey state championship in Beaver Dam this year with their all-female team, the Sauk Monkeys, based in Sauk Prairie, pictured at right. Aubree Christian, right, traveled to a U12 tournament in Superior. All three are in the seventh grade at River Valley. They hope to recruit enough girls to have a River Valley all-female hockey team in the future.
