Health Department continues to push masks

Although Gov. Tony Evers’s mask order has been overturned, the local health department is still encouraging residents to cover up.

According to Sauk County Public Health, wearing masks, washing hands and keeping distance help reduce the spread of infection.

Sauk County does not have a mask mandate.

The most recent 14-day data shows Sauk County is still considered at high COVID-19 case activity levels. Of all new cases in the last two weeks, 41 percent could not be traced to a known source.

Businesses and other organizations may still require patrons to wear face coverings.
