Knights of Columbus distributes Tootsie Roll dollars
The Knights of Columbus Reedsburg chapter recently donated to Reedsburg Area High School, Webb Middle School and Sacred Heart School.
Donations will support children with intellectual disabilities.
Funds were raised through the club’s annual Tootsie Roll Drive. Collection sites included Viking Village Foods, True Value, Walgreens and Quillin’s.
The drive is normally held in May but had to be delayed until Sept. 18 and 19 due to COVID-19. Volunteers expressed concerns that the drive would suffer as a result of the pandemic but Drive Chair Rich Braun said 2020 event brought in more money than ever. He said the public response was “stupendous” and the club is grateful for the turnout.
