More Reedsburg student share their New Year’s Eve plans, resolutions

Mrs. Green’s fourth-grade class, Prairie Ridge Intermediate School
On New Year’s Eve we go to our friend’s house until midnight. There we eat and play around. Sometimes I watch TV and wait for midnight. I also get tired and almost fall asleep. After midnight we get ready to go home.

My New Year's Tradition
My family stays at home and we have popcorn, candy, and a lot of junk food. Sometimes my grandma comes over and spends the night. I always look forward to pizza and Sour Patch Kids. We watch funny movies all night until midnight.

My goals for 2021 are to be more quiet, go out more, spend more time with mom and dad, eat more, sleep more, and play more.

My family and I will be watching the ball drop on New Year’s Eve. Most of the time when we’re not in a pandemic, we also have friends or families over. The family that we have over for New Years is the Cunninghams. I love New Year's Eve very much!

My family celebrates the New Year with a party! We set up the snack table, decorations, and make sure we can get the channel with the ball drop. When it’s midnight, we all yell as loudly as we can,” HAPPY NEW YEAR!” Although we might not be able to have a party this year because of Covid, we’ll still have fun!

For our New Year's Eve tradition our friends come over or we go to their house. We all party. Tommy, Zack, and I play the entire time while the parents stay downstairs. We play Star Wars and there's a lot of treats! Then we have supper and afterward we go home.

My resolution is to work on my homework more and not get distracted by games. When my teachers tell me to do my virtual work, I will do it all even if I wanted to play on my games instead. I have to stay on track or else fall behind on all my homework.

My NEW TRADITION
My family's new New years eve tradition is going to be where we take a tiny bean and give it to each person throughout the day. This will start at 12:00pm New Year's eve and go until midnight! We will make sure each person has had a chance to hold and take care of the bean. This will represent us working together as a family!
