District Administrators Corner

by Loren Glasbrenner River Valley School District Administrator Darn that virus.  It has kept us from weddings, shopping trips, hunting trips, funerals, holiday get-togethers, friends, church, college, play dates, school and so much more.  It has become one big barrier to gathering.  It has also forced many hard discussions and difficult decisions.   On November 19, the River Valley Board of Education met to discuss instruction for students between Thanksgiving and the New Year.  It was not an easy discussion.  There were decisions made to plan for learning during the holidays.  The board’s decision regarding instruction of our students includes the following:   29  30   ALL-VIRTUAL 1   ALL-VIRTUAL 2 Virtual Wednesday as usual  3   ALL-VIRTUAL 4   ALL-VIRTUAL 5 6 7    IN-PERSON* 8   IN-PERSON* 9 Virtual Wednesday as usual 10   IN-PERSON* 11   IN-PERSON* 12 13 14   IN-PERSON* 15   IN-PERSON* 16 Virtual Wednesday as usual 17   IN-PERSON* 18   IN-PERSON* 19 20 21   IN-PERSON* 22   IN-PERSON* 23 Virtual Wednesday as usual 24   NO SCHOOL 25   NO SCHOOL 26 27 28   NO SCHOOL 29   NO SCHOOL 30   NO SCHOOL 31   NO SCHOOL 1   NO SCHOOL 2 3 4   ALL-VIRTUAL 5   ALL-VIRTUAL 6 Virtual Wednesday as usual 7   ALL-VIRTUAL 8   ALL-VIRTUAL 9 10 11   IN-PERSON* 12   IN-PERSON* 13 Virtual Wednesday as usual 14   IN-PERSON* 15   IN-PERSON* 16   (* If a family chose to register for our online/virtual format, it will continue as scheduled.) Our kids want to be in school.  Please assist us with making that happen by making safe choices.  Let us know if you have any questions.
