Coronavirus traced to weddings

Sauk County Public Health has confirmed that several recent positive COVID-19 cases were spread due to weddings within the county.

Officials are advising anyone who has attended a wedding in Sauk County within the last two weeks to be tested or monitor for symptoms. Wedding participants and guests are also asked to quarantine for 14 days.

Coronavirus symptoms include cough, shortness of breath, fever, chills, headache, sore throat, runny nose, loss of senses of taste and smell, body or muscle aches, fatigue, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and abdominal pain. Not everyone with COVID-19 has all these symptoms. For many, symptoms are mild and there is no fever.

It is still possible to spread the virus if you have mild or no symptoms.

The health department advises people to wear a mask, stay six-feet apart, wash hands and use hand sanitizer. Stay home if you aren’t feeling well or are experiencing coronavirus-like symptoms.
