RAMC practices adjusted due to rising coronavirus cases

Reedsburg Area Medical Center has rolled out new visitor guidelines due to COVID-19.

The following will be in place until further notice.

Visitors will not be allowed for hospital patients. Exceptions will be made for end-of-life situations and pediatric patients as long as visitors don’t have COVID-19 symptoms, other contagious conditions or breathing treatments ordered. Virtual visits are still possible.

In the Birth Center, one symptom-free support person is allowed for the duration of the patient’s stay.

For the clinic, including walk-in care and outpatient appointments, one symptom-free support person will be allowed for pediatric patients or those with special needs or assistance requirements.

In the Surgery Center, one symptom-free support person is allowed per patient. This individual must remain the same for the duration of the patient’s stay. This person is asked to stay in the patient’s room until discharge occurs and to give a cell phone to be contacted for when the patient is ready to leave. The Surgery Center entrance remains locked; use the main hospital entrance.

In the emergency room, one symptom-free support person is allowed. Exceptions will be considered for pediatric and end-of-life care.

Reedsburg Area Senior Life Center is closed for visitors except for certain situations. Scheduled outdoor visits are allowed.

The Sunshine Café in the hospital is closed to the public.
