Wisconsin Heights’ social media presence grows

The Wisconsin Heights social media presence is booming, according to a social media review presented at the Nov. 25 meeting. Between August and October, the page averaged a reach of 4,400 people per week and 2.7 viewed posts per day. Likes have steadily increased to over 1600. Two posts reached 6,000 people, garnering hundreds of likes. They were the September 20 Vanguard Team Pump post, and the September 11 post about a cross country runner helping an opponent. Twitter and Instagram continue to grow, with 294 Instagram followers and 103 Twitter followers. Comparing to other school districts, Heights ranks 25th, bunched in the middle of a pack of districts averaging a weekly reach of 4000 to 7000. The Cumberland school district is at the top with a weekly reach of 15,000. That district as a similar enrollment. In other news, Bev Whalen was promoted to Administrative Assistant to the District Administrator and Human Resources Specialist. She previously held the position of Pupil Service and Curriculum and Instruction Administrative Assistant. Whalen also handles Wisconsin Heights’ social media accounts. The board is currently examining reorganization options for board meetings. Board members have expressed a desire to be present for committee meetings, so they can be fully informed. Committee meetings occur at different times than board meetings, and it can be difficult for a board member to attend them.
