The School District of Reedsburg will hold registration for the upcoming school year.

In-person registration will take place from 1 to 7 p.m. Aug. 7 and 12 at Reedsburg Area High School.

River Valley School Endowment distributes grants

The River Valley School Endowment recently awarded grants for the 2025/26 school year.  $16,850 was awarded for a total of 9 grants.

Sacred Heart announces third trimester Honor Roll

Sacred Heart Catholic School in Reedsburg has unveiled its third trimester Honor Roll for students in Grades 6-8.

To qualify for the Principal’s List, students must earn a 93 percent or higher grade in every subject area. Students include Matthew Benesh, Cabela Bradley, Audrey Kinsman, Ella Mathews, and Victoria Powell.

Sauk Prairie National Honor Society students donate to Healthcare Foundation


Pictured, Todd Wuerger, Executive Director of Sauk Prairie Healthcare Foundation accepts a check for $1,139 from Casey Brickl, Cora Brickl and Greta Shadewald, National Honor Society students at Sauk Prairie High School. The students coordinated a “pink out” campaign, selling t-shirts at basketball, volleyball and soccer games, then donating the proceeds to Sauk Prairie Healthcare Foundation. Photo contributed.
Over the school year, a group of enterprising high school honor students donated more than $1,100 to Sauk Prairie Healthcare Foundation through t-shirt sales at volleyball, basketball and soccer games. This effort is part of a service project through the National Honor Society.

In partnership with the Department of Public Instruction, the School District of Reedsburg is offering free meals to children 18 and under throughout the summer. All meals must be consumed on site.

River Valley School District highlights Community Spotlight, hires teachers


The River Valley School Board highlighted the devotion and efforts of David Daniel at their board meeting in the June “Community Spotlight.” The award recognizes community members who have served above and beyond their role for having a positive impact on River Valley staff and students. Daniel is a core company member at American Players Theatre (APT), as well as APT’s education director. He has been involved with the company and been in the community for 26 years. As an educator he has been highly engaged with the middle school Shakespeare Project, as well as classroom visits at all grade-levels to share energy, the power of the written word, and how literature and creative writing can be impactful, benefiting both teachers and students. He is respected throughout the Midwest for his innovative teaching methods. The district is very thankful for Daniel and his incredible devotion to the community, staff and student body.
